I am an amateur video maker. I just installed CS4 and imported SONY ACCHD clips. I tried to export Media (to my Hard Drive) using the following settings:
    Format: MPEG2-DVD
    Preset: NTSC Widescreen High Quality
Export – Video (checked), Export – Audio (checked)
Audio Format – Dolby Digital (I tried all formats, actually)
    Bitrate – 192

When I played back the movie there was no audio..

There a a/v sych bug recently confirmed at the Adobe forums. Basically HDV and ACCHD don’t work as advertised and are being fixed in ‘a future update’. If you ask me CS4 premiere is one big beta.

    Thanks,

I agree full heartedly about the Beta. What a BIG disappointment and a waste of time and money.

    Hi JOE,

If you have used the presets and settings which you have mentioned above, you would get separate audio and video files i.e.; .m2v file for video and .ac3 file for audio. For MPEG2DVD, the multiplexing is off by default for all the presets. if you play back the video only file, audio won’t be there becuase audio is in another file. If you want audio and video in a single file, you will have to turn the multiplexing on under “Multiplexer” Tab or you can use MPEG2 format instead of MPEG2DVD.

    thanks,
    Prateek
