Does anyone know if Adobe plans to make mxf files compatible with the next CS version? I am getting ready to purchase a Panasonic HPX300 and a couple of P2 cards. What are my options for editing in AE using P2 media?

MXF is a somewhat generic container format. From the rest of your question, it seems that you’re interested in P2 media in MXF files. After Effects CS3 (8.0.2) and later can import and use P2 media in MXF files.

    See these pages:

    “Supported import formats”

“Import assets in Panasonic P2 format”

Thanks Todd, I am going to shoot some DVC Pro HD files on P2 and try it out again tomorrow!
    Thanks again.
