  CS4 50GB Dual-Layer Blu-ray Layer Break/Transition

  Hi

  I am having a problem with playback of a blu-ray disc authored in Encore CS4.

  It is a 50GB dual-layer blu-ray and I think it has placed the layer break half-way through a timeline. During playback, the disc freezes and either eventually stops playback by itself, or, if you press Next Chapter, it waits for about 30 seconds and then jumps to the next chapter.

  Also, if I manually search for a time 1 second after the point at which it freezes, the disc continues from that point without any problems. It always freezes at 1:38:20.

  I have tried several copies of the disc in several blu-ray players and they all behave the same.

  I have noticed that in CS4, when authoring a dual-layer blu-ray, you don’t get the same layer options that appear for dual-layer DVDs such as chosing where the layer break occurs etc.

  Does anyone know if it is possible to see or change where CS4 places the layer break on a blu-ray?

  I am certain my main timeline fits onto a single layer as originally I was using a 25GB single layer disc but moved to a 50GB dual-layer in order to fit more items.
