In a continuation from my lsat post, I’ve done a test on DVD’s and again, CS2 is BETTER than CS3 with the same source, settings etc.

I am utterly baffled?!?! Surely Adobe wouldn’t release Premiere Pro CS3 with such critical areas producing WORSE results?!? Am I the only one experiencing this? I am at a complete loss?

Issue was that CS3 seems to, by default, have the de-interlace tick box ticked in the encoding output tab (to left of main encoding settings at the top). Strange choice as a default IMO!

Interlaced video displayed on a PC monitor can display the jagged field edges if the motion is fast enough.
