    hey cowpeople again,
i have a query about rendering, i have a 2gb pc, so not brilliant i know, but i have rendered other projects in cs3 before, 30 secs + with a fair amount of effects on, but now when i try to render a clip 10 seconds long, i just get render fail after about 1 minute or so.
i have tried different setting like, wmv, avi, mpeg and quicktime etc and still doesnt render,
is their any other methods to render easily and still keep pretty good quality
    Cheers in advance
    jonny

It could be any number of your effects that are preventing the render. It could also be the size of your composition. If you provide some more details, maybe someone could help.

the project itslef is 224kb, which is nothing compared to previous projects, andl ikei said,it has only just started doing this.

The effects i have on are Keylight 1.2, matte choker and toon it! outlines and the clips are no longer than 7 seconds

it gets to 1 minute 19 seconds or around there, maximum was 20 minutes though, and then fails, is there anyway to bring up why it fails, i log errors only, the properties are set to half and a third, because i thourght it was that, i have rendered in avi wmv and mpeg so it isnt that either

    Hq compaq dx2300 microtower
    genuine intel(r) cpu
    2160 @ 1.8 ghz
    1.18 ghz @ 1.99 gb RAM

thats my pc specs, i had a similar probelm with vegas but i fixed that by shuting off other apllications that were automatically running, but that didnt work for this…..

    Hope you guys can help.
if you would like any more information i would be hapy to give if i knew what to give 🙂

eah, i intend to upgrade to 4gb ram soon when i have money, are there any settings that i can adjust to slow down rendering time, less chance of crashing? you said something about multi processing, i saw it in a tick box and a text saying for multi pc rendering so i unticked it i think?
    cheers
