I’m wondering whether to upgrade my antique versions of PS and AI to the “CS” variety. It’s a toss-up and I’d appreciate advice on one aspect of the decision.

I run a one-man band, so I buy only one license for each piece of software I use. But I have several computers, and although I install the same license on more than one computer, I don’t consider that a violation as I can only be one place at a time. From what I heard a while ago, a CS product might not work on more than one computer, requiring a rather tedious process of de- and re-registration.

Is that just a rumor or a fact? As a legal user of software, I’d find that rather intrusive, and as a busy, overworked person, totally impractical.

A related question: if any of that rumor is true, what do I lose by finding a copy of AI 10 rather than CS? ditto for the last version before CS for PS?
