crossfades quit working
Hi…I’m a new Sony Vegas Pro 9 user, and I feel confident that I have conquered the basics. However, when working on a project last night, the crossfades between clips suddenly quit working.
I had all my video clips overlapped as to create a 1/2 second crossfade between them. “Enable Automatic Crossfades” has always been checked under Options. Even now, the clips still show to be overlapped, and the blue “transition lines” (for lack of a better term) are still visible within the overlapped areas. Best I can figure, this happened when I was closing a 20 sec. gap between media at the beginning of the timeline and the clips that I had previously edited together. At first, I thought maybe it was a lag in the preview window, but after pre-rendering a few clips, the crossfades were still not working.
Does anyone have any clue what may have caused this, and how to correct it? I have already created a new project and re-edited everything together once again…but I would like to know how to correct this in the future.

Did you double checked to see if you had the fx

Hey Steve,
After reading your response, I checked to see if the FX Parameters Disabled option was checked in the preview window, and it was. However, when I clicked to uncheck it, it wouldn’t uncheck. I noticed that that option is a default option on any new project I start. How would I disable that?
