    Hello all,

I’m trying to cross convert a 720p 59.94 signal to 1080i upon input into a Ki Pro. When I set the input conversion to 1080 it gives me an Invalid Selection warning.

The GUI status window shows the Input at 720 59.94, but Record Format reads No Input.

Setting inconvert back to none and all is well, albeit at 720.

I’m sure I’m setting something wrong. Your help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    David

    David,
The “Invalid Selection” warning prompt would seem to indicate that you have a setting configured incorrectly for the conversion operation. An easy solution might be to enter the CONFIG menu and navigate to menu parameter 99.0 Factory Reset and perform a factory reset; this should clear out any mis-set parameters. Then re-enter the CONFIG parameter 1.4 In Convert and set it according to your desired format (in your case, HD 1080).

If this doesn’t solve your issue, or you need further assistance, don’t hesitate to contact AJA Technical Support.

Is the out convert set as well?

Is the recording type set to normal?

Oops, didn’t see AJAs response at first.

    Sorry!

I’m happy to get your input anytime Jeremy.

You know the output may well have been set…. I will test that before resetting to factory defaults just for fun.

    Best,
    David

A factory reset did indeed resolve the issue. Thank you very much for your quick response.

I tried it both ways, with output conversion on and off, and it made no difference. The factory reset AJA support recommended did clear up the issue and all is well both on output and input cross conversions.

    Thanks!
