    I’m not sure exactly what you mean. If you use command/control c
    to copy and command/control v to paste it back as a new layer can’t you use transform (cmnd/ctrl t) to resize it for the layer?

    Maybe a better way of saying it is, I have a layer in my PS canvas, such as a logo, that’s smaller than the canvas. For example the canvas is 640×480 and my logo is 345×220. I would like to crop the canvas to the size of the logo. Other than attempting to do this manually and possibly leaving space around the logo or clipping part of it, is there a way to select the logo and crop to selection?

    1. make selection

    2. Select > Modify > Expand > 1 px (or whatever you want) for padding

    3. paste on new layer

    4. delete old layer

    5. Image > Trim > Ok

    Hi …
    This is my first Post
    Hope to help-full

    1- Go to layer window
    2- Press Ctrl+ Left Click it will make select to layer’s content
    3- Go to image menu and select Crop
    it will re-size the image as size of layer
