Crop Masking
I am trying to mask a video diagonally in half but also using the crop tool. But before I mask I wish to crop it so that only a portion of the video is diagonally cut in half. Is there a way to mask while maintaining inside the crop boundary?
If it’s confusing I’ll post a picture. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

To crop your video diagonally, you can make a black and white mask with the desired shape in a photoediting program and use this in combination with the Sony Mask Generator FX in Vegas

I’m still new to using Vegas; how would I go about using Sony Mask Generator FX after I have the mask images? -
Create three video tracks
Add the black and white mask to the upper track
Place footage one at the middle track
Add footage two to the lower track
Add the mask generator fx to the mask event at the upper track and choose the option LUMINANCE
Choose for the composition mode of the upper track MULTIPLY (MASK)
Make the middle track a child of the upper trackThats all…
