Creative ideas to animate a still image…. Any ideas much appreciated
Hey there
I am an intermediate AE user and wondered if some more experienced users may have some tips for a project i have coming up.
Basically i need to edit some interesting abstract still images with some slow subtle animation.Ideally i would have created these as multi layered objects but i dont have the time and i have quite a few images.

I am thinking some sort of noise displacement combo but wondeered if anyone had any different ideas how i may approach this and in particular ideas to try and effect the different coloured areas seperately.

I don’t know the kind of effect you might want (Or if you have a soundtrack), but I followed this tutorial – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_2hUYyJrV8 and it comes out pretty good. The effect in the tutorial is anything but subtle, but I toned it down when I used it and it gives a nice effect. Long render times though!

cheers thats a great idea, should be able to use that.
I have many to do so any other ideas from anyone appreciated.
