  Creating very large image problem

  I’m having a very hard time creating and exporting a project which is for an awning/banner for a store front. The dimensions I need are 6′ x 3′. When I attempt to export this, I’m not getting an option to save as jpeg (which is what I need) I’ve looked thru the forums and I’m reading to be sure I’m in 8 bit mode, which I am. Can someone help me with what my exact seeings should be so I can export this (dpi, cmyk, rgb, canvass size, etc…)
