  • Creating Text with Rounded Edges

What would be the best way to achieve text with all it’s edges being slightly rounded? I’m trying to make text that looks like it’s made out of compacted sand (like a sand castle). I’d like to figure out how to achieve the rounded edges, then I’ll be going in with bump and displacement maps to get it uneven looking.

I’ve been trying to start with a MoText object. Making it into a polygon. Then cutting with the knife around the edges, but I’ve had problems with letters with rounded edges, getting geometry added on those faces.

So I don’t know if I’m going in the right direction or not. Any help would be appreciated.

    Best regards,

Look into the Chamfer tool.. It is made to round corners.

Forgot this tool is not in an obvious place..

Go into point mode, select all your corner points, then go

Structure > Edit Spline > Chamfer

Then click and drag to change the amount of rounding.
