here’s a fairly simple recipe… create a new solid and add these effects to it:
- fractal noise
- colorama
- cc star burst
that should get you a bunch of multi-colored spheres/dots.
then in cc star burst set the speed to 0 (so you’re not flying trough them) and adjust the scatter, grid spacing and size properties until you get the scale and amount of stars that you want.
you can scale back the amount of colorizing in the colorama effect by adjusting the blend with original.
i’d also adjust the brightness and contrast in the fractal noise effect (this will actually increase the number of colors or shift the colors that colorama creates).
then to animate some twinkling, animate the evolution property in fractal noise. you’ll probably want quite a bit, i’d start around 1 evolution (360 degrees) per second and adjust from there. if you need it to loop, there is a loop option in the evolution options.
