I have some 4k footage I imported and l logged. But when I started to try and cut it I was getting terrible lag and decided to create proxies. When I right click my media and try to create a proxy of my footage it opens Encoder and then just sits there. Doesn’t import anything into the queue…nothing…I have my proxy settings all set up. Not sure how to get this to work. I’ve watched/read all the tutorials 🙁

What are your computer specs? A hanging Encoder can be a result of a lack of RAM or CPU power.

On my end it was the usual suspect of having too many different versions of Premiere and AME 😛
I had to start fresh to stop that from happening.
This was on a Mac Pro D700/64GB.
