  • Creating New Compound Clips actually moves audio clips out of sync

    Hi,

I’m hoping someone can help with a problem I have in FCPX. I highlighted about 5 minutes of the timeline – probably 20 video clips and 40 audio clips. I then selected New Compound Clip. It condensed everything down to a single clip in the primary storyline, but one of the audio clips had actually moved to about 10 seconds earlier in the timeline, so it’s in the wrong place. I also had a 5 second video clip go black. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen, and what can be done to correct this and use compound clips without getting errors like this?

(This project was originally in FCP 7 and brought in to FCP X by doing an XML, and then using Send to X to import it into FCP X.)

    Thanks,
    Matt
