Hello, I am trying to make an object push mud off of a platform and into some water. The object pushing the mud is text so some mud will be left behind but I need it to at least be able to push the majority of it off the platform and into a water source just below the platform… Can anyone help? I have tried MoDynamics/Cloth and Metabal. Help???

your “tried” list are your options inside c4d.
My guess would have been a soft object (cloth or r12 dynamics) being pushed with an animated displacement texture. And create a second object that gets left behind.

I follow you except for the animated displacement texture.. what purpose would that be for? I am not trying to degrade your answer, I just don’t have any clue what I would put in the displacement field.. 🙁

Your texture is what would sell it. Both soft bodys and cloth are really round and balloon like. So if you were to use displacement you can start to get an un even surface.
You may want to try the proximal shader to get the contact with the text more detailed…. I dont know if this would work but might be worth a try.

Oh ok 🙂 now I understand. I will give that a shot and let you know how it goes. Thank you so much!
