Creating Markers Dynamically
We are trying to capture powerpoint presentations which works fine. But the question is. Is there a way to capture the time stamps of when the user moves to the next slide so that we can create a marker list to import in to fcp/dvdpro.
if so what do you recommend?

There is no way to do this that I’m aware of. You’d have to ask a Powerpoint expert. We just use a dedicated camera for the slide presentation that gets imported into the timeline during editing. The track is for reference only because you want to use the actual slides from the Powerpoint presentation for the final product. This means that you can use a less expensive video camera to record the presentation because it’s just for reference.
Anyway, that’s the way we used to do it.

Screenflow is what I use to do this now. No need ro any camera. Everything gets captured and video is exported lossless.
The only problem is that we need to streamline the process so having the ability to track those keystrokes and time stamp would be the key to get those markers much more easily.
lets hope there are others who came across this and know some other creative means to approach these issues.
