  • Creating “Makeup” in Post. Color? FCP? any solutions

Just shot a low budget political ad on really short notice for broadcast. Any ideas on color correcting and evening skin tones in post? I think there is a good workflow in color but was wondering if any fcp solutions existed. thanks in advance.

You might try skin-smoothing effects like Red Giant’s Cosmo or Digital Anarchy’s Beauty Box.

If you don’t have beauty box you can use AE’s own Noise Removal- it can give you pretty much the same effect if tweaked properly. If you want to affect just skin tones though, you may have to duplicate the footage layer and pull a Color Range key.
