Creating list of all used media including total duration
Hi all-
I’m currently in the final steps of a project of creating 15 short documentary films ranging from 2-10 minutes long. By the end of the project, I need to make a report of all of the b-roll used in each of the films, their duration, as well as the total duration spanning all 15 of the films. In some cases though, there is duplicate b-roll used in more than one film, and while this does still need to be reported, it would not go towards the total duration.
Is there a way for Final Cut to generate a legible list like this, to take out the process of adding up the clips manually? I have tried to use the “Find” command to find all used media, but it seems to have difficulty in picking out multiple subclips used from one master clip. I also get some strange results where some media is popping up in the list as being used when it clearly hasn’t been, but I think that’s another issue…
If it makes any difference, I’m running FC 6.0.5, not 7.x.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.
