In another video game-related project I am doing, I would like to get an opinion on the most efficient way to create these types of light streaks from the upcoming Super Smash Brothers game.

I would say Fractal Noise would be my best bet, but I’m not really sure how to jump on that. The streaks also animate to follow a character’s moves, such as the streak following Mario’s foot and fist or the ring around Luigi’s wrist when he throws a fireball.

I’m particularly interested in this one.

I’m interested in the ring around Luigi’s wrist.
