Using DVD Architect 5 to create PAL stereo audio DVD
On advice I have opted to created project using Elementary streams
Used Movie Studio … and MainConcept DVD PAL Stream Render template … selected
include‘ audio and on system selected ‘separate elementary streams
    This creates post render:
    video_file .m2v
    audio_file.mpa
When I go into DVD Architect … and create ‘new’ … ‘single movie – PAL DVD – AC3’ it then presents me with a browse window …. which file do I choose or doesn’t it matter if they are in same folder ?

If I select the audio_file.mpa it also loads a video track, if I select the video.m2v video it also loads an audio track. Is this normal ?
Not sure of sequence to follow.

Your audio file has to be an AC3 file – not an MPA file. You rendered the audio to the wrong format.

If I select ‘elementary stream’ in system tab there is no choice it states it will create mpa & m2v files … no option to select audio codec.

I could of course render twice and use AC3 template ………… seems strange that it allows invalid elementary streams ? … is there a reason for that ?

Yes, you have to render twice. As has been said in the various threads you have started here, you render the video to MPEG2 and then – on a second render – the audio to AC3. It takes two separate renders.

Thanks .. I raised the separate Q’s to avoid complicating the issue, wasn’t trying to be difficult.

Been 5 days on trying to get this sorted.
I sort of expected Vegas & DVD architect to be easier when it came to creating the DVD ……… I was wrong.
