Creating an vintage computer monitor graphic effect
Hi-
I’m looking to create a vintage computer effect, kind of like an old green monitor, blocky digital graphic, that will play on a series of monitors in the background of a music video.
Any ideas on how to get a basic template down so I can customize it?

Get a font that fits the bill of what you want then make several blocks of text and find some animation presets (or create your own animation) that adds some movement or changing of characters. As for graphics, just create some that look like what you want in Photoshop and animate their opacity.
A mosaic effect with Colorama or some other color correction plugin to pictures you already have may give you the look you want too.

Hi,
I would recommend using the following filters:– Color Correction Hue/Saturation (for the green color)
– Stylize Mosaic (for the low resolution, pixelated look, this is optional depending on the kink of image in the monitor)
– Sapphire Scanlines Mono (for the scanlines)
– distortion Bulge at 0.3 height or so (to acchieve the roundness of old monitors)after this you could add a slight glow.
