Creating a page turn effect in AE

I’d say a plugin since it is a type of “novelty” transition. Final Effects for AE has a plugin like that.

Then there’s effect>distort>CC Page Turn, which comes with the non-educational version of AE 6.5.

It’s one of the Cycore effects, installed from the AE CD.
(It used to be part of the Final Effects package.)

CC page turn is great, but Serge had an interesting variation on page turn if you want a 3D book-look, or don’t have CC Page Turn (some AE versions don’t). I don’t see the 3D Book still on his site, but father down is a link to an aep for 3D Book:
