    Hi all.

When all else fails ask the CoW, and I can’t believe it’s come to this on this occasion…

I want to create a circular solid with a hexagon shape cut out of it so…

    Step 1: Create solid circle

Step 2: Create polygon mask – defaults to pentagon

Step 3: Change pentagon to hexagon…. How exactly???

I’ve ended up creating the hex in Illustrator and copying it into AE and away I go, but I can’t believe there’s no simple way to do it straight in AE!

    Somebody put me right, please…

That was my starting point, thanks Todd. I dunno whether it’s cos I’m on a mac or what, but none of the arrow keys on my keyboard affect the number of sides on a polygon. Scrolling with mouse wheel simply scales up/down the viewer.
