There are HD DVD presets in Compressor…use those.

And you know that ONLY Macs and Toshiba HD DVD players will play these back, right? HD DVD is a dead format…lost to BluRay.

You can make BluRay disks with regular DVDs and the DVD burner. You just need to use the SHARE option to do that. And I think you are limited to a running time of 10-15 min.

Make BluRay? You use the SHARE option directly from FCP. BluRay is an option.

It’s not ideal, (share function off the timeline) but I’m grateful for it all the same: if you make PSA’s and commercials or news clip VNR packages, that’s a long enough duration to distribute a high def product via the BluRay instead of an FTP or more expensive tape process. And the BD makes a great shelf archive.

It’s not really a bluray. It’s an AVCHD at about 1/3rd the bit rate of regular bluray. But they look great. If you just make a file you can take it over to toast and make basic menus.
