  Creating a DDR/Taiko Drum Master-style plugin?

  Hi everyone!

  I wanted help on creative a DDR/Taiko Drum Master-style plugin for upcoming video projects. Here is a reference video:

  I’m looking to create an effect like the one at the bottom of the screen, with the graphics going from right to left to the BPM of the song. How would I go about making this effect?

  Actually, I will have editors doing this for me and I am not familiar with After Effects, so any information I learn here will be passed on to them.

  I also want to use this for future reference, being able to adjust the BPM of the effect. Does anyone know how to turn this effect into a plugin?
