Created a new database on new hard drive but disconnected others
I apologize in advance for this rough articulation of what is happening.
I moved over to Davinci from resolve about 6 months ago and still having some challenges understanding the best way to manage my projects with the databases. I have a total of 2 databases setup + the local database. I have had not had any issues until I recently created a new database on a new gdrive (which I intended to use for travel while working on specific projects). After I set up this new database (pktdrive1) my other two databases immediately became disconnected. List of my databases:
1. feltxstudiosdb (I use this for my studio work. I have been able to back this up and restore it, no current issues. I was smart enough to actual create a backup)
2. pktdrive1 (this is the new database where after creating it disconnected the other databases. I don’t know that this is what it caused or if the other databases coincidently disconnected for some other reason. I did not create a backup in the moment and just ejected the drive and now I cannot restore this database. I have one project on here that I could live without)
3. resolvedatabase (I cannot restore this database and I apparently did not keep a backup of this either bc when I search the folder that I originally created the database in I cannot find the appropriate file ie. when in the project manager there are no files accepted for the restore function. There are several projects that I need on this database).
4. Local database (I’ve never backed it up and I have to projects that aren’t really needed on this DB)
My question is am I missing a step or is there a way for my to import my project into a new project file. I unfortunately did not think to export a project file for any of these projects. However, when I go to (C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Resolve Disk Database) I can see the project folders but I am not able to import them.
I am using version 16.2.7.010 on Windows 10 Pro machine.
Very sorry for the wordy and unarticulated description. Thanks in advance for any direction. Appreciate you all!
