Create Graphical Bow Waves
Helllo Everyone!
I would like to create a simple graphic bow wave behind an object in AE.
Since i’m not familiar with Java or anything in the world of scripting i hope to find an answer here.My Idea is to create a simple (masked) Sonar-Wave on a Object. When i’m moving the object in Time from A to B the Sonar Wave should be displaced with the acceleration from the object.
Further I’m not convinced with my Idea of the Sonar-Wave since the Bow Wave doesn’t look exactly like this. To get a better understanding of what I would like to do please have a look at the attached image.Thanks in Advance for every solving-proposition.

the radio waves effect is capable of creative something similar to the first 2 examples (the radiating circles/ellipses).
by default it will make the circular form, but you can use a mask of any shape as the ‘wave type’. you can also adjust the velocity property to get it to offset the waves similar to the elliptical example.
