create a title safe visual to represent 16:9
I’m editing 16:9 anamorphic material in a 4:3 sequence, and i’m bring in other footage, stills and 4:3 footage. Is there a way to adjust the title safe guides so that they show a 16:9 crop on the 4:3 canvas? I just want to have a fast, quick, real time way of knowing what will be cropped off later when I put in my overlay. thanks

thanks Tony, But it seems like FCP should allow you to change the title safe guides yourself withou shelling out 40 bucks. Is there a way? or do you just have to buckle down and buy the plugin?

DH_WideSafe is designed for 16:9 sequences really. If you’re really looking for adjustable guides that you can overlay on a 4:3 sequence then get our DH_Guides plug-in which is now free:
