  • Crash/unstability after using Adjust Exposure function

    Hi,

I’m experiencing some crashes or unstability after using the adjust exposure function in the viewer panel. Sometimes it works sometimes not but after using it AfterFX get really slow and doesn’t live update the viewer anymore when changing values or blend modes, only when dragging the timecursor. OpenGL is off. But if I turn it on afterwards, the Save as…-window opens and wants me to save my project. After I do it (or not – doesn’t matter) AfterFX crashes without a warning.

Anyone else having this problem? Or even solutions?

    Thanks

    Hi Chris,

well, I’m already running version 9.0.1.51 or is there another to come?
And I’m not meaning the Exposure effect (which was described as buggy in the 9.0.1 release notes) but the adjust expore function in the viewer right next to the flowchart button (the little iris icon which only affects the viewer itself).

    Thanks

it looks like the fix created other problems, use a workaround for now. heh, try 32bpc and see if it still crashes.

“Exposure effect: negative offset values render garbage/underflow in 8bpc and 16bpc. (49294)”
