crashes when opened
hey, has anyone had a problem where when they open motion, then the first srcreen appears where u can go to a tutorial, or a blank one, or a preset…. then once you choose a preset or a blank one… either it opens, and as soon as you move the mouse, it closes automatically with no warnings of any sort, or it will open, and the mouse will be that phycadelic circle “the waiting, or something is happening icon” and no buttons will work or anything, and the only way to get it to close is go down to the dock and click and hold the icon, and force close it, twice, then it closes.
after it closes, it gives the window of “would you like to report this to apple, or reopen the program”
and thats what happens every time now.
i mean, should i try to reinstall it, or whats the deal?

Before you reinstall, try trashing the preferences file. Do a search for com.apple.motion.plist. It should be in your System Drive > Users > Username > Library > Preferences.
Then use the Disk Utility to repair disk permissions.
After that’s done, restart the application.
