The data will be recreated when you open the project.”I’ve been having this problem for 4-5 days now, and this solution did NOT fix the problem.
My Final Cut’s been crashing just after the ‘offline files’ dialogue box while finishing loading the project. From where I would get the clock cursor thing for a second and then the spinning wheel of death for 5 minutes and then crash. After trying this fix, it probably took 1 minute before the cursor flipped to spinning wheel of death, but that’s about it. Still froze for a while then properly crashed after 5 minutes.

February 1, 2011 at 4:45 amI have been having these crashes of late and found the culprit. I discovered that a couple of sequences my co-editor was working on had some alpha transitions. Upon transferring the FCP projects to my drive, the well drops in the alpha transitions emptied. When I tried to render the project FCP repeatedly crashed. When I noticed the alpha transitions were empty I dropped in the requisite clips, alpha, etc. Thereafter, the sequences rendered without incident and I have no longer had the KGCore crashes.

The data will be recreated when you open the project.Let me know if it worked for you.”
Missed quote earlier, sorry… This was the solution for me, thanks Diego!

March 23, 2011 at 10:23 pmHi !
In my case I found this related to one media (avi) waveform. When its switched off in timeline nothing hangs. So, I erased Waveform cache for this file and Bingo! FCP redrew it, and everything works!Mart

In the FCP Docs folder of your scratch drive
