August 21, 2007 at 12:38 amJust to clarify – The point of the tutorial is to show a complete workflow for using Imagineer Systems Mocha with Adobe After Effects to create a perspective corner pin effect – an effect typically used for sign replacement or compositing video on a computer or television screen.
Even if you’re not using After Effects as your compositing application, I think you’ll still find the lesson extremely useful, as it focuses almost entirely on the use of Mocha.
After Effects users not using Mocha will also find some of the compositing tips at the end very helpful as well.
Best,
Aharon

August 21, 2007 at 12:44 pmGreat! We just bought Mocha as part of the AENY deal & haven’t had the opportunity to play with it yet. That tutorial will get me going. Can’t wait for a rotoscoping tutorial… that’s primarily what we bought it for.

August 21, 2007 at 11:41 pmAharon,
I bought this product through FXPhd back in July and have used it a number of times. I also took advantage of the Mokey and Monet offers too. I am so glad to see this tutorial and forum back here. I will be using either Monet or Mocha for an upcoming music video I am doing with Jon McLaughlin. I will post the video here so that people can see the breadth, ease and purpose of this tool.

August 22, 2007 at 7:48 amThere was a fully functional beta up for free download on the site..but I think as soon as they properly released it the beta needed a licence purchasing to run it again. You usually get a watermarked versiohn of the software, but for something like Mocha where you usually export the data that wouldn’t work, so I’d assume any demo s/ware would just inhibit the export command?..Just go on there and check.

August 22, 2007 at 1:14 pmIs there an cheaper alternative to Mocha? Anything?
I tried the demo and it seems really great. Rock solid, quite easy to use and with really good results. But – the price tag is not for me.

August 22, 2007 at 4:44 pmAre you an FXPhD member? If so, you can get it for $299.00 before August 25th. There is a code in the forums to use when buying. I took advantage of this when it was available through the COW about a month ago and you might want to jump on this here.
