In this series of articles CreativeCOW leader Mylenium takes a look at Luxology’s modo 201 and how it can help you make your daily work more efficient even if you are not yet a 3D artist. Moreover he tries to provide some guidance why you possibly should consider it to complement your arsenal if you are already using 3D programs such as Maxon’s Cinema 4D.

In this first video, Mylenium looks at a part of modo that isn’t actually a part of modo. Included in the package is ImageSynth which is a standalone plug-in for Adobe Photoshop CS or later and Mylenium will demonstrate how and why you should use it.

Ok, Mylenium…you’ve done it again: whet my appetite for more!!!! I’ve only heard about Luxology and Modo once or twice, but maaaaaaaaaaaan…that was cool. So, when is the next installment? 😉

BTW, great tut, man! I hope to be an AE samurai like you when I grow up.

Thanks for the kind words…. I’m working on more stuff, so you will definitely see more articles some time soon. Just can’t give you more concrete dates as it’s rather hot at the moment here and on some days I just don’t feel like doing a lot of work on the videos (yeah, call me lazy) and all this soccer/ football frenzy here in Germany is somewhat distracting as well (though I’m not particularly a fan, it’s hard to escape). ;o) So best stop by at the COW from time to time to keep track of things.

I’ve tried to view the tutorial movie on Mac OS X 10.4.5 and 10.3.9, on dual 2Gig G5’s, and nothing comes up but white with no audio. Is there some kind of codec use that I could be missing?
