If you’ve got CS4, then you can bring in your movie into PS. IN fact, even without CS4, you can still use the filmstrip format to bring in your movies into PS.

However, take note that erasing parts of a single frame is very different from erasing parts of a moving sequence.

In addition to what Roland said, you could cover a logo with a different logo or a blank you create in photoshop. This would potentially involve motion tracking and other techniques to match cgi with real footage – which is tedious, but not nearly as tedious as cloning it out exactly matching each frame in Photoshop. For a short film I was working on last year, footage was shot in a Hallmark store, but it was supposed to be “Holiday Card Shop” for copyright reasons. Every time there was a Hallmark sign in the shot I had to cover it with a digitally created sign. (The director’s favorite phrase was, “We’ll fix it in post.”)

You should check out the Clone Stamp tool in After Effects. It should do what you want.
