I need to get a few things streight before we shoot parhaps you can help?

!. I understand that drop-frame applies to 29.97 but does it ever apply to 30p footage?

    2. In regards to capturing, is there a problem using a Sony HDV deck with JVC HDV footage? I would run a test but I can’t get my hands on the JVC camera until the day of shooting.

    Thanks.

    Reuben,
The Sony deck wont work with JVC HD100 footage tapes.
However if you went from the camera to the deck via component, that would be fine.
    30p is really 29.97p.
Do you already have an HD100?
I am selling one if you are looking to buy.

My DP is supplying the JVC. Thanks for the offer though. Just to clerify, In regards to the Drop frame.. it would still apply then to 30p just as it would to say 60i?

Forgive me if this sounds like the same question I just want to make sure.
