    Hello to all,
I have been using FCP for all my editing needs for years. I am getting ready to create a local show in the area and I need a clock that counts down. Is there something in final cut that will count down from 90-0? I have FCP 5.

    Thanks
    Chuck Obie

Nattress big box of tricks has a plug-in called master countdown. I’m not sure where I got it from

I have come across several countdown clock effects, but I can’t give you links or names. I think at least one is in a free plug-in collection. Try googling final cut pro plug-in and see what you can find.

I have the one from Too much too soon and never use it be cause it doesn’t count down.

What I’ve done is create a sequence the lenght of the countdown put a black slug in it, put the “time sequence in my project running in reverse and then add a Timecode Reader effect to it.

Make sure your orgininal sequene with the black slug starts at 0 instead of 1:00:00:00.
