June 12, 2011 at 2:35 pmjust noticed this… (maybe i’m not the first… but who has time to read through all of them)
now… if you look at the expiration date on the bottom this flyer….
it says June 17, which is this week friday.why would Avid end their promotion this friday and not at the end of june, like Adobe?
maybe because they know stuff that Adobe (and us) don’t.
and if FCPX is out for 299$ this Thursday, who would care for the FCP-Avid promotion… so they might as well go back to original price
i place one on 6.15.2011

June 12, 2011 at 2:48 pmThat promotion started at NAB before FCPX was even announced.the end date has been there for a few months. Adobes promo started after fcpxwas announced, I think.
I’m going with June 22nd for the release. It’s my birthday so it must be so.

actually, the promotion started the day it was announced… suggesting at least, that maybe Avid knew about the announcement too, not just the release date…
BTW, i just noticed the expiration date… not the announcement of course.
damn think is nerve wrecking… in a nerdy fun way

June 12, 2011 at 4:40 pmTuesday 28th looks like a likely candidate. Although I’d put money on any day from the 27th-30th if I were a betting man.

June 12, 2011 at 4:55 pm[Mike Kelland] “Larry Jordan is hosting a live seminar on June 12th called ‘Discover Final Cut Pro X’. This would be a short seminar unless it had actually been released by then. So I’m betting June 12th… (which it already is here in NZ)”
Keep in mind Larry is also a beta tester so he’s already using it. As with his initial blog posts about seeing the product in advance, I’m sure this is another example of Apple allowing him to demonstrate some elements of the product in advance of its release.
Maybe he’ll address some of the many questions we lobbed at Apple about whether some of the “pro” features have remained in the app.

Well there you go. But again, being a beta tester, he should have a really nice seminar put together by then.

June 12, 2011 at 11:23 pmEven Larry’s not 100% sure of the release date:
IMPORTANT NOTE: The final content of this seminar will be announced after Apple releases the new version of Final Cut Pro X. If, for any reason, FCP X is not shipping by the time of this event, this event will be postponed.
