The Apple Color Community has disappeared from the Apple Support Website so this could tell us that the app has either disappeared or was cannabilized and rolled into Motion and FCP (which would be a real shame).

But it could also tell us that Apple is preparing to release the app this week and is cleaning up the Support section to reflect the new app.

Where were you looking that it’s now gone Walter?

    I’m seeing this

    https://www.apple.com/support/color/

It’s also got its own page

    https://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/color/

and it also still appears in the Apple support forums.

    All the best,

    Tom

That’s the support page. I’m talking about the Community page.

apparently now everything has been rolled into one huge FCP/Motion/Color/SoundTrack Pro/Compressor/QMaster/DVDSP community. Makes total Apple sense.

[Dave Jenkins] “The color forum is under Final Cut Studio – Refine list – Color”

Yep, a crappy way of doing it, but nonetheless no surprise from Apple.

But it did just happen towards the end of this week according to some folks on Twitter as the Color forum was around last weekend and earlier in the week.

So it looks like Apple is cleaning up the Pro Communities to get ready for Brand X software communities brought to you by the Powerpuff Girls. Or in other words, we could see the app this week…..

Yeah, it’s been like that for a while now with the new look Apple Support Communities, a major PITA actually if you use it.

    All the best,

Not quite. It’s been like that since the Apple forums were reorganized around the middle of April. Don’t think there’s any direct bearing on FCP and NAB as the reorg was talked about for a while. I wish they hadn’t lumped them together either, but I don’t think it’s any time frame tea leave indicator, though this week is as good a bet as any.

Which is why the Cow is still the best in the business. Easy to find what you’re looking for without having to go multiple levels deep.

I’m willing to bank on the release being on any the next 19 days, excluding Saturdays and Sundays, which leaves only the following fourteen days: June 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, or 30.

I guess we’re just down to the final two weeks so it’ll be one of these next two. And with the App Store now where you’re going to download it from, I guess that includes weekends too.

Might not be a bad idea to slip it out on a weekend when most shops are closed. Unless of course they release a new Lady Gaga single on iTunes on the same day……

Actually we won’t see it this week.

It’ll be next Tuesday the 21st. Call it a hunch…….
