Could it be possible without having to use a Fibre Channel Setup?
I have recently seen that Western Digitals:-
Western Digital WD RE2 (SATA II) Hard Drives
are capable of 300mb/s, if you raided 4 of these together could you
achieve rate high enough for full HD(1920×1080)on decklink HD Pro?Mike.

yes – this is true.
If you get a nice external SATA array, like the Cal Digit S2VR, you can also
do uncompressed HD with the Blackmagic Decklink HD Pro. This will cost you about 25% of the total cost of a Fibre Channel setup.Bob Zelin
