I have a client request for a 3D image which is a still shot from an animation I previously created for them. The animation was produced as a DVD. They have asked for a 6222 x 3500 pixel still shot of a particular frame of the animation which is a wafer bump reflow simulation of near photographic quality. The work involved was to pull the files from my archived DVDs, stage the project file and all associated linked files, locate the frame (sample from original DVD provided), a few lo res test renders and one master render at the afore mentioned settings. Setup time rough 2 hours. Render time is roughly 1 hour.

Any referrences as to what should be charged for this project?
I referred to my Grapgic Guild pricing guide but it only covers projects from the start of them.

Since it’s based on work they previously paid for I’d probably just charge my hourly rate for time spent, but I guess it also depends on their intended use.
