Corrupted save file that Does not exist.
So I started my computer this morning and I could not open my project from last week. When i double clicked the project file, it said file does not exist. But, I was able to open it through after effects by open-recent projects – my file. Then i collected the file and saved it. I double clicked my collected file and file does not exist. But i can still open both versions through. recent projects in after effects itself. Ive never seen anything like it.

What said that the file does not exist? The OS or Ae?
Are you maybe trying to open an alias or shortcut to a project that has moved?

its after effects that is saying project does not exist. Its not a alias or shortcut, The collected file says the same thing. Im on windows.

Okay, so i can import the project into a new project and it will work but I cannot open the file directly.

Perhaps there is a problem with a piece of footage? If you hold Shift while opening the project, does it give the error or not?
