    I had a backup of a project I was working about 6 months ago.

    Today I opened this project, but when I was browsing it Premiere (CS3 version 3.2) freezed. Now when I try to open the file appears a message saying it is corrupted.

    I only have this copy; it is a backup. Is there any way to fix this file or any workaround to try to open it?

    Try importing it into an existing project.

    Yes, try Vince’s advice. That has worked for me in the past.
