Correct way of editing uncompressed dv material
Hi experts
If I have material shot on mini dv but need to put a lot of filters and text layers on top of it, what’s the best way regarding quality?
What is the difference between:1- capture via firewire (so timecode will not be lost)
2- unplug firewire deck to plug in io
3- Sequence settings to 8 bit betacam to dv
and from there keep it 8 bit ucas oppossed to
1- capture via firewire (so timecode will not be lost)
2- work in a dv sequence (putting on filters and text)
3- When it’s done an approved, just switch this dv sequence to a 8 bit sequence and render and print to tape (Mini Dv or Betacam SP)through I/OAlso, how can I Capture from DSR-11 trough I/O Analog outputs, but mantaining timecode records. What I would think of is to do as with Aurora Cards, control the machine via firewire and capture via analog, but with the I/O, I’ve heard is not possible to have both firewire devices (I/O and DSR-11) plug at the same time. Is this correct?
Thanks
