Correct setting DVCPRO HD 720p PAL -> 8bit uncompressed SD
We have about 12 decklinks, and 1 aja that we bought cause the downconvertion from hd to sd was supposed to be better, alas I have mostly been playing around in the land of decklink.. Can some AJA guru tell me the correct setting for doing downconversion of dvcpro hd 720, 50p and master it to digibeta (pal)

You set this in your Kona control panel.
Open up the control panel, click the format tab & set the secondary to “625i25”.
Then go to your ditital out tab and set whichever output you have connected to the DigiBeta to use the secondary to downcovert.
When you lay off to tape from FCP, you use a capture preset that matches your timeline settings. Shazam! The Kona will do all of the work for you in real time.

That worked out perfectly. Now I only have to deal with the rs-422 problem. (look above)
