June 29, 2007 at 6:50 pmIf anything I’m being mighty picky!
Its one of those things where I’m trying to do something in one step that looks like it SHOULD work, which if it did would save me doing the same set of key strokes a thousand times, particularly if it avoids a drag and drop.
There’s other situations, but the one that brought it up today was, imagine:
You’ve logged a master clip, but then you want to recapture it under a few different codecs or setups or you only want to get a little bit of the middle of the master clip in a few places online. In other words, there needs to be a new master clip with the minor variation of only one aspect or another. If I dupe it and change something, the affiliate thing takes over and I’m fooling with my master!
This happens for me more frequently than I like. I hate going into the log and capture or out to a batch list to make an offline clip that is 98% identical to a clip online or offline that I’m staring at in the browser. Does that make sense?
Especially if there’s now a command called “Dupe as New Master Clip” ;0)
