I have footage that was sent to me that has reddish faces. Color bars are correct and so are other elements in the shot–just the face is red. Bad makeup I guess. What’s the best way to correct the tint/hue of the face? I have hours of footage to correct

    Proc Amp Filter
    Color Corrector

    Other?

What’s the best work flow for that?

    Thanks

Try using the 3 way color corrector, take the mids and push them a little towards Cyan. That might be all you need.

The person may just have rosacea

You could also apply 3 way color corrector and then use the limiter function to hone in on the shade of red and desaturate a little. Have found quite a lot of DV has red channels that are almost glowing and this seems to help.

I will try that too. Is there a stock “normal face tone” that a person can download to compare corrections to?
