    Hi,
    Been searching without luck.
Is there anyway easy way to replicate the distort / transform.. tool in illustrator. putting objects around a circle with a ascending rotation and position.
Im trying to replicate the texture of a classic clock with small rectangles in-between the numbers.
takes forever to move it by hand.

    thanks!

if you create the rectangle by using a shape layer, then you can add a repeater (from the little ‘add’ button to the right of the ‘contents’ property for the shape layer), and you can set the rotation offset and number of ‘copies’.

note: by default when you draw a shape layer the anchor is in the middle of the comp, so if youhave the center of the clock face in the center of the comp, you’ll draw the rectangle in the position that you need, then the repeater will rotate around the center of the comp… you can adjust the position relative to this anchor within the contents>rectangle path properties, while the transform properties will control the entire layer– that sounds more complicated than it is, but if you try it you’ll see what i mean.
