    Hi all,

So our archive/backup solution is to have one external drive to hold the entire project folder, as well as an LTO backup of the same. I have yet to begin this, seeing as though we just got an LTO drive and have many past projects. I have never consolidated to an external and have only ever copied the whole project folder. My question is whether or not in terms of copying an entire project folder, or consolidating sequences, does everyone do both to tape or one over the other? My worry is towards project files and assets for graphics (AE, etc.), but I guess those could be archived separately.

Jake – you don’t mention what your edit environment is. Are you using all Adobe, Apple, Avid, a hybrid of multiple?

    Hi Tim,

All our early projects before 2015 were cut with FCP7 and we made the switch this year over to Premiere, so were full Adobe CC now. All our graphics and vfx are done in After Effects and some from vendors when not done in-house.
